The ideal candidate will be skilled in preparing and reviewing individual, business, and trust tax returns, as well as managing complex accounting tasks and preparing financial statements. A key aspect of this role is providing excellent tax, accounting, and financial advice to clients, while also serving as a mentor and reviewer for junior staff members ensuring that all deliverables meet the highest standards of accuracy and comply with tax laws and regulations.Key Objectives and Results:

• Prepare and review individual, corporate, partnership, and trust tax returns.
• Oversee the preparation of financial statements, ensuring compliance with accounting standards.
• Review tax returns and accounting work completed by other accountants for accuracy and compliance with all applicable tax laws, regulations, and reporting requirements.
• Conduct tax research and stay up-to-date on new tax regulations to advise on tax strategies.
• Provide support and guidance to other accountants in the team, ensuring a collaborative and efficient workflow.
• Assist in the development and implementation of tax planning strategies.
• Manage deadlines and ensure timely completion of all tax filings and reporting.
• Ensure the confidentiality of each customer by following all company procedures regarding information handling.Requirements and Expectations:
• Customer Service oriented with impeccable professionalism.
• Comprehensive knowledge of tax law, precedents, government regulations, and IRS and California rules. Ability to conduct tax research.
• Experience in contacting tax agencies on behalf of clients.
• 5 or more years of experience with tax preparation.
• 5 or more years of experience with accounting.
• Current PTIN and EA, or CPA certification required.
• Lacerte Tax and/or CCH Axcess Tax preferred; proficient with QuickBooks; Microsoft Office Suite; and Adobe.
• Strong organizational skills with attention to detail and accuracy to meet the quality of work standards.
• Adaptability in a deadline-driven environment with changing priorities.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, maintaining a professional and positive demeanor.
• Previous experience in a leadership or supervisory role is highly desirable.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with a passion for mentoring and developing talent.Physical Requirements:These physical requirements are not exhaustive, and additional job-related physical requirements may be added as needed.
